Day 1 Arrival at Entebbe
On arrival at Entebbe airport, you will be met by our driver at the Air port and you will be transferred to your Hotel in Entebbe or Kampala for an overnight.
Day 2 Birding in the Mabamba Swamp
You will take an early morning breakfast then drive to Mabamba swamp where you will see a variety of bird species like the Shoebill Stork, Black crake, yellow billed duck, swamp fly catcher, Africa marsh harrier, long toed lapwing, Blue headed coucal as well as other water birds. You will then head to Lake Mburo National Park for Lunch after canoe boat from Mabamba, on your way to Lake Mburo you will see other bird species in the savannah park like Rufous-bellied Heron, Lesser Jacana, Lesser Moorhen and a variety of water birds including shoe bill. Over night at Mantana Tented Camp or at the Rwonyo Rest Camp.FB
Day 3: Morning game drives and birding
After a cup of coffee you will go for early morning game drives in the park which an extension Tanzanian Plains with big herds of Zebra, Impala, Eland , Warthogs ,buffalo and other savannah species. For birders, this is one of the best places to find African Fin foot, Papyrus, Bush Shrike bird, Brown-chested Plover, Red-faced Barbet and many more .Then an after noon boat trip where you will be expected to see the famous shoebill, Papyrus, Bush Shrike bird, African Fin foot, Red-faced Barbet.
Over night at Mantana Tented Camp or at the Rwonyo Rest Camp.FB
Day 4. Mbarara – Queen Elizabeth National Park
You will live for QENP after taking a cup of coffee and drive to Maramagambo Forest which is another section of Queen Elizabeth Park. You will walk through the forest with the help of your guide and visit the bat cave where you will see a number of hungry pythons feeding on bats and on you way to the bat cave you will come a cross a blue lake. For those who may be interested in birding at this point there are bird species as well. Over night at Mweya safari Lodge or institute of ecology Lodge. FB
Day 5. Wildlife game viewing and launch cruise
This day will begin with morning game drives in Queen Elizabeth National Park where you will see animals when on the Game drive in this park, the game drive will provide an excellent opportunity to see lion, leopard, giant forest hog, Cape buffalo, elephants, defassa waterbuck, Uganda Kob, Topi and bush buck and many more. Have lunch and afternoon boat cruise a long Kazinga channel. This channel hosts a variety of birds like Grey Capped Warbler, White’s and Abdim's Storks (in season), Amur Falcon, Ovampo Sparrowhawk, Wooly-necked and Saddle-billed Storks Vultures and Plovers and other bird species. Overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge or Institute of Ecology.
Day 6. Depart for Bwindi National Park
After breakfast drive to Bwindi while birding on the way arriving at around noon. Lunch, afternoon carry out birding around Buhoma area and visit to the locals. Overnight at Gorilla Nest or Buhoma community bandas.
Day 7. Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi
For an early start, break fast will be served early in the morning .The ranger guide will brief you on how to behave with these giant apes. The time taken to track these primates is unpredictable. An encounter of these gentle giants of Bwindi with the silver backs is exhilarating! Especially hikers will love the tracking in the beautiful ecosystem of the park. Observe them closely while they play, eat, and rest. For conservation purposes, time spent with the gorillas is limited to one hour.
Day 8: Depart for Bwindi – Kabale Lake Bunyonyi
After breakfast drive to Kabale for Lake Benyonyi while birding on the way. This place was named Lake Bunyonyi due the different bird species a round the lake. You will go sight seeing in the evening. Over night at Arcadia cottages or Bunyonyi Over land camp. FB
Day 9. Boat ride - Kampala
Morning boat ride on Lake Bunyonyi to the Islands viewing different species of birds and migratory birds from Europe often sighted here. Lunch and drive to Kampala with a stop over at the Equator for crafts. Over night at Sheraton Hotel or Holiday Express. HB
Day 10: Left for departure
