Day 1: Depart for Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
After breakfast, your driver guide will pick you from the hotel and head for Bwindi Impenetrable National park, stop at the equator for photographs and lunch in Mbarara town. The journey takes you through the scenic country sides of western Uganda, via the beautifully placed Kigezi hills with nice terraces. You will know why the place is called "the Switzerland of Africa". Arrive late in the evening; relax as we wait for dinner and overnight at Luxurious Gorilla forest camp or Buhoma Community Bandas.
Day 2: Gorilla Tracking Bwindi Forest
An extraordinary wildlife experience awaits you this morning. Assemble for briefing from the guides then proceed to penetrate the impenetrable forest for Gorilla tracking. The time taken to encounter the gorillas is unpredictable but it ranges between 2-8 hours depending on their movements. On encounter of a family of gorillas, one may be forced to say that it is exhilarating!! You will be privileged to spend one hour in the wild with the humble and endangered gorillas. Return to the lodge for a rest. If the evening is free, you can proceed for a walk to nearby communities. Return for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth via Ishasha
After breakfast at the lodge, transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park with game drive en route through the Ishasha sector famous for tree climbing lions, bush bucks, antelopes and many other animals. You will arrive for lunch at Mweya or Jacana lodge. After lunch, you decide to rest for the rest of the day, or take a drive to the crater lakes region to see the various crater lakes around the park including Lake Katwe where salt is traditionally mined in the park. Return for dinner and overnight at luxurious Mweya safari Lodge/Jacana lodge.
Day 4: Game drive & Launch cruise
Set out after some tea or coffee on an exciting three hour early morning game drive along Kasenyi track, where you get the chance to experience the awakening Savannah while on safari in Queen Elizabeth Park. A big breakfast awaits you on your return. Afterwards, you can cool down in the refreshing swimming pool or just relax in the traditional atmosphere of the Lodge.
Gather your strength after lunch for an unforgettable, spectacular afternoon launch cruise on Kazinga Channel, famous for the highest concentration of Hippos in Africa, with about 611 bird species and a wide variety of huge Nile crocodiles. Return for dinner and overnight at your lodge after an adventurous day on your suggested itinerary in Queen Elizabeth Park.
Day 5: Day Hike / Cultural / Historical tour
Have breakfast and drive to Nyakasura via Fort portal town to visit the "Amabeere ga Nyinamwiru" caves to view the stalagites and the stalagmite. Then proceed to Kibale National park for dinner and over night at Ndali lodge / primates lodge.
Day 6: Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest
We shall have a briefing at Kanyankyu tourist centre about chimpanzee trekking. Along the trek, expect other primates such as the Vervet Monkey, L'hoest Monkey, Black and white and the Red colobus Monkeys, Olive Baboons and many others, plus over 350 bird species. In the afternoon, you will be taken for a nature walk around Bigodi swamp to view the various bird species in the park. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Day 7: Departure
After breakfast, drive to Kampala via Fort Portal Mubende Highway with lunch en-route. If your flight is on schedule, you will be transfered to the airport for your departure flight.
