Uganda Gorillas, Chimps and Wildlife Safari (8 Days Murchison, Kibale, Queen Elizabeth & Bwindi)

Day One: Kampala, Luweero Triangle to Murchison Falls National Park.
In the morning after breakfast you will drive south west through Nakasongorwa Masindi to reach the park in the afternoon. On reaching the park you will hike to the top of the falls to see how the calm Nile forces itself through a narrow gorge through which it explodes into the falls. After you will transfer to your lodge. Dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge / Sambiya River lodge /Red chili Camp.

Day Two: Wildlife, Game Viewing & the Nile Launch Trip
In the morning before dawn you will go for a game drive through the park searching for predators and other game. The drive will reward you with game like Hyenas, Leopards, elephants, hartebeests, Oribis, Uganda Kobs, giraffes to mention. In the afternoon you will go for a boat ride on the Victoria Nile that takes you to the bottom of the falls. The ride will reward you with game like Crocodiles, Hippos, elephants, buffaloes, and plenty of birds like the Kingfishers.

Day Three: Drive to Kibale & the Albertine Rift
Early in the morning you will have breakfast and then drive off to Kibale National park. The drive takes you about 8 hours to reach Fort portal in the afternoon. You will then transfer to your lodge to check in and then go for a walk in the Bigodi wetland sanctuary. The walk may reward you with primates like Bush babies and colobus monkeys and other species both fauna and flora. Dinner and overnight at Ndali Lodge / Mountains of the moon / Primates lodge.

Day Four; Chimpanzee tracking / Drive Queen Elizabeth National Park
In the morning you will have breakfast and then transfer to Kibale NP Headquarters. You will be briefed about the whole process and tracking and then you will head along the tracks in the forest to search for chimpanzees. The walk through the park will be guided providing information about not only on chimpanzees but also on flora and fauna. You will then meet the chimpanzees and spend sometime watching them feed and making theirs calls. If you are lucky to find then hunting this is the best time, as you watch them share the meat amongst themselves. After tracking you will then drive Queen Elizabeth National Park to reach in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge / Mweya Institute of ecology.

Day Five: Wildilfe, Game drives & Boat ride of Kazinga channel
Wake up before sunrise to a cup of tea or a glass of water and then set off to the park tracks for a game drive to be able to see predators as they retune to their hide outs and the early risers. During the drive watch out for game like the Leopards, Lions, giant forest hogs, hyenas, Uganda kobs, warthogs and others. After the game drive you will drive back to the lodge for heavy breakfast and then later have lunch to transfer to the Park headquarters for the Boat ride. The launch that takes you along the Kazinga channel that connects Lakes George and Edward will reward you with game like Hippos, elephants and buffaloes at the shores not forgetting plenty of birds. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge / Mweya Hostel.

Day Six: Chimp tracking in the Kyambura Gorge / Drive to Bwindi
In the morning you will have breakfast and then drive to the Kyambura gorge to go track chimpanzee. The walk will reward you with other primates like black and white colobus monkeys, and other game. After tracking you will drive through the Ishasha sector to head to Bwindi impenetrable National Park. The drive will reward you with a game drive enroute to view animals like the tree climbing Lions, Uganda Kobs to mention. You will reach the par in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla resort / Buhoma homestead / Buhoma community Bandas.

Day Seven; Mountain Gorilla Tracking in the Impenetrable Forest
In the morning you will have heavy breakfast and with packed lunch you will transfer to the park headquarters for briefing and then later on at 9:00 am you will set off along the tracks in the thick forest to go search for these great apes. Depending on the movement of these humble giants the walk might take between 2-9 hours before you encounter the Gorillas. The walk is tiresome however meeting these great apes and spending some time with them while looking deep into their expressive brown eyes, is an exhilarating and heartbreaking wildlife encounter that Africa has to offer. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla resort / Buhoma homestead / Buhoma community.

Day Eight: Return Trip to Kampala
In the morning you will have breakfast and then pack your luggage to start on the Journey back to Kampala. The drive will take you to stop in Mbarara for lunch and then proceed to reach Kampala in the Evening.
