The 6 days Nairobi Aberdare Safari in Kenya will start and end at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. The 6 day Kenya safari will take you through Aberdare National Park, Lake Nakuru and Masai Mara National parks. Lake Nakuru park offers sanctuary to huge numbers of native African animals including waterbucks, warthogs, impalas, buffalo, Rothschild giraffes, elands, endangered black rhinos, white rhinos and, occasionally, leopards. Additionally, a large herd of hippos have a territory in the northern part of the lake, plus over 400 bird species, including huge flocks of flamingoes; making the place interesting for game viewing.

The Aberdare and Masai Mara National Parks are also homes for wild fauna in Kenya. Game drives in these parks are rewarding; elephant, buffalo, giant forest hog and Kenya's indigenous endangered Black Rhino, lion, Leopard, baboon, Black and White Colobus and Sykes monkeys as well as many bird species will be seen during the 6 Day Kenya safari, for instance; Jackson's Francolin, sparrow hawk, African goshawk, eagles, sunbirds and plovers

Day 1: Arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport
Day 2: Nairobi - Aberdare National Park (Game drive)

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport
Upon arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will transfer to Nairobi safari club for a briefing, dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Nairobi - Aberdare National Park (Game drive)
Take early breakfast and depart for Aberdare National Park, located 100km in the north of Nairobi; arrive in time for lunch at the famous treetops hotel situated in a salient of the park. Thereafter proceed to the second lodge where you find the famous Ark which is situated above a swampy glade, water hole and salt lick. It is the most likely place in Kenya from which to see bongo; these large and handsome forest antelopes being frequent visitors. Have lunch at Ark in Aberdare National Park. Go for an evening game viewing drive in search of lions, elephants, cheetahs, buffaloes and other plain game. Return to the Ark Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Aberdare - Nakuru (Bird watching and Game viewing drive)
After early breakfast, you will connect to Nakuru National Park with packed lunch via Lake Elemetaita stopping for panoramic and scenery view. You will arrive in Nakuru later in the afternoon; where is the world famous spectacle haunt of flamingos. Proceed for an evening game drive where you will see animals such as waterbucks, warthogs, impalas, buffalo, Rothschild giraffes, elands, endangered black rhinos, white rhinos and, occasionally, leopards. Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru - Masai Mara National Reserve
Take breakfast, go for a boat trip that will expose you to excellent birding. Later, drive to Masai Mara National Reserve; take an evening game viewing drives at the reserve in search of black manned lions, elephants, leopards, cheetahs, buffaloes and other plain game. Proceed to Mara Sopa Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Masai Mara National Reserve (Search for the Big Five)
Full day is spent exploring this unique park which really forms the northern part of the famous Serengeti National Park in the Great Rift Valley. Today's tour activities also include Hot air Ballooning on addition to big game viewing drive in search for the big 5; Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Rhino and Lion, wildebeest, zebra, impala, topi, giraffe, Thomson's gazelle. Also regularly seen are hyenas, cheetah, jackal and bat-eared foxes among others. You will also see marine animals such as big Nile crocodiles on Mara River. Meals and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge.

Day 6: Masai Mara National Reserve - Nairobi
This is the day to say farewell to your fellow travelers, the guide and to a country that has been your home for a short while. After an early breakfast, proceed for Nairobi; Lunch is served at Nairobi safari club, there after, transfer to the Jomo Kenyatta International airport for your flight back home.
