Chimpanzee Trekking in Uganda

Kibale Forest National Park is a home to 13 primates species, making it a wonderful tour destination for primates trekking. There are many large communities of chimpanzees which are accessible to tourists by nature/forest walk through demarcated trails in this dense tropical forest. Apart from the large Chimpanzee communities, other primates include blue monkey, red-tailed guenon, white-nosed monkey, red colobus, gray-cheeked mangabey, L'Hoest's monkey, and black and white colobus monkey among others. Kibale Forest is located just east of the Rwenzori Mountains, near the town of Fort Portal. You can also track chimpanzees in Queen Elizabeth and Murchison Falls National Parks.
