Day 2: Gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable Gorilla Park

Go gorilla tracking, walking up steep densely forested hills before finally coming across the gorillas camouflaged in the vegetation. An inspiring moment! (This trek can take from half an hour to 5 hours - a reasonable degree of fitness is required as well as a sturdy pair of walking shoes) Sit in the forest among the gorillas, listening to them grumble to each other, and marvel at the sheer size of the dominant male; the silverback. It is an extraordinary feeling sitting in the dense rainforest knowing you are with a few of the last remaining mountain gorillas. It's amazing to think there are only about 650 of these beautiful creatures left!
Overnight at Gorilla Resort / Buhoma Community Bandas (Full Board)

Day 3: Bwindi - Rwanda
After breakfast leave for Rwanda. Take in the panoramic sunset over the volcanoes.
Overnight at Gorilla Nest Lodge/ Kinigi guest house (FB)

Day 4: Gorilla Tracking in the Volcanoes National Park
Early morning cup of coffee, enter the Gorilla sanctuary of Parc National des Volcans, the rain tropical forest covering the hills surrounding Virunga Volcanoes. The trekking is a demanding but rewarding experience. Ensure you carry with you enough water and the packed lunch. The time spent in the forest depends on the movements of the Gorillas in their natural environments. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Depart for Queen Elizabeth National park
Have breakfast and cross back to Uganda and head northwards for Queen Elizabeth National Park through the unique western rift valley escarpment. Take a mini game drive in Ishasha sector in search of tree climbing lions before getting the Mweya Peninsular; park headquarters. Arrive in the evening and check in at your Lodge. Over night at Jacana Safari Lodge / Mweya Safari Lodge or Mweya hostel

Day 6: Chimp trekking and launch cruise
Wake up before the sun rise and drive to Kyambura Gorge for Chimpanzee. The gorge is the natural home of habituated chimpanzees. Your guided walk may last three to five hours and in addition to seeing the chimps, the trip may yield sightings of the colobus monkeys, baboons, red tailed and velvet monkeys, and other primates. After lunch, drive to the dock, for an afternoon launch cruise on the Kazinga Channel, which joins Lakes Edward and George. Its shoreline attracts large mammals and reptiles through out the year. These can be seen from covered launches, topi, and simba that cruise between Mweya Jetty and the channel's entrance into Lake Edward. There are also a rich variety of birds on the channel. Back to the lodge for dinner and over night.
